Group Topic (second presentation)

Recently, three groups did presentations on Climate Change, Gender Inequality, and Infrastructure. These groups did a great job explaining these real world problems that are very important to discuss in this day of age. Not many people in this world are aware of these topics, or are aware and choose not to do anything because they do not know of the effects. For this reason, it is important to talk about these topics to the people who will be our future.

To start off, Group three presented Climate Change. This group was actually my group. My group did a great job by individually explaining our parts of the presentation. In our presentation we explain what climate change is, and what it is doing to our planet. We also explain how we can help. Us as humans should be doing way more to keep our planet in good condition. We do so much that harms the planets and the other life we share our earth with. It is very sad that us as a race choose not to do anything about this situation we have been in for centuries. There are many endangered species and species that have become extinct because of climate change. People who hunt and kill endangered species have also been the cause of this. Our transportation such as cars, planes, and boats, is the main cause of climate change. Our comfort has been made priority for centuries no matter the effect it has. Our main source of food and the way we kill them,  animals, have been affecting the air we breathe with the machines that they use to kill them. Being vegan is the best for your health and for the planet as well. Many people who do not believe in science also do no believe in climate change. Spreading the word of how real this situation is, is very important. Spreading awareness alongside politicians, celebrities, and social media influencers, will help us in making the world a better and safer place to live.

Group two has the topic "The problems of gender and inequality." They did a great job in explaining what gender inequality is. They did a great job of informing us that even after centuries of trying to fight it, it is still happening to this day. For example, in some jobs today, men are getting paid more than women in a job that involves both men and women. Women have been treated poorly by men who believe they are superior than us just because they are men. It is important that women do not have to have to deal with these situations anymore. The LGBTQ+ community also faces a big harmful impact in todays society. Straight men and women are happy to bash others for being gay. People do not deserve to be harassed for loving who they love and living their truths. The transgender people also face discrimination, especially in work and medical environments. Trans people can face twice as much discrimination than gays. In the medical world it should not be allowed for doctors, surgeons, or nurses, to refuse to treat someone for how they identify. It is so sad that the people in this world are so easy to judge and believe that the way they think and view things is "the right way".

Group one had the opportunity to present the topic " Focusing on Infrastructure". Group one had the ability to share to the class the definition of infrastructure. Infrastructure means the way an organization or system is built. I was very uneducated about this subject, and am glad that I got to know more about a topic that is so primal to this day. It taught me how things in this country are processed. They talked about how we can rely on transportation and technology in this country. The government is an important infrastructure of this country. There are very big changes happening in our country thank to our scientists and engineers.

In conclusion, all groups presented on time, and were very organized. We as a class, took on topics that can be controversial and turned them into a learning and fun experience. I am very grateful to have been apart of Group Three. Speaking of climate change and giving perspectives that many of our audiences maybe not have known has been awesome!
